H2Gateway is an initiative for a blue hydrogen plant in the port of Den Helder, linked to the hydrogen backbone, for the production of blue hydrogen for industry.
Den Helder is an interesting location in the blue hydrogen value chain due to its proximity to large-scale CO2 storage capacity in the North Sea and connection to existing gas infrastructure. The projection from this exploratory study is that a plant of this size could be operational in 2026-27.
The hThe project's viability has been demonstrated once again by a business analysis (completed in March 2022). As soon as this report is publicly available, we will also offer it here.
