NHN Hydrogen Hub of the Future

Thanks to a combination of factors, such as a favourable location, the available gas infrastructure with connection to the hydrogen backbone, a strong knowledge infrastructure and sufficient space for the development of the hydrogen economy, the region meets all the conditions to realise that ambition. The development of a new hydrogen economy offers the region opportunities to strengthen broad prosperity with impulses in the field of employment, knowledge, technology, education and science.

For this reason, NHN is actively working on the development of so-called hydrogen clusters. In these clusters, work is being done on innovative combinations to produce and apply hydrogen, involving various stakeholders. With these initiatives, NHN wants to lay the foundation for promising hydrogen options in the Netherlands and other countries. With the position paper, the region wants to take you along in the story of how we are going to make this region one of the major hydrogen hubs. Based on current insights, we will sketch a realistic picture for 2030 to end with our ambition for 2050.
